Image Metadata Remover

Remove camera metadata from local images before sharing.

The image is re-encoded in your browser, which strips common EXIF metadata.

What it removes

Canvas re-encoding removes common embedded camera metadata from typical JPG, PNG, and WebP exports.

When to use it

Use it before sharing photos, screenshots, thumbnails, or creator drafts that may contain hidden data.

Local by design

Metadata removal happens in the browser tab. The selected image does not need to leave your device.

FAQ

Metadata removal notes

Does this inspect every metadata field?

No. It creates a fresh exported image, which removes common metadata by not copying it into the result.

Will image quality change?

JPEG and WebP outputs may be recompressed. PNG output keeps lossless pixels but can be larger.
